From 2007 to 2009, I worked with runners from around the country to raise over $12,000 for the Lupus Foundation of America. Then I took a break.

In 2010, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. After undergoing surgery this summer, she is in the middle of undergoing chemotherapy. It is a difficult process, but her prognosis is good.

I've decided to restart this blog as I shift my efforts as I prepare to participate in the 2011 Relay for Life at SVSU to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
This event will take place from 6:00pm April 8th-6:00am April 9th, 2011. My plan is to run the who thing.

Dayton Daily News Article

Thanks to all you Lupus Runners out there who have helped get us this far. Also, many thanks to everyone who has made donations--we have collectively raised nearly $12,000 since 2007. I look forward to finally meeting some of you in person at Burning River this weekend. In the meantime, check out this recent article in the Dayton Daily News.
