From 2007 to 2009, I worked with runners from around the country to raise over $12,000 for the Lupus Foundation of America. Then I took a break.

In 2010, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. After undergoing surgery this summer, she is in the middle of undergoing chemotherapy. It is a difficult process, but her prognosis is good.

I've decided to restart this blog as I shift my efforts as I prepare to participate in the 2011 Relay for Life at SVSU to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
This event will take place from 6:00pm April 8th-6:00am April 9th, 2011. My plan is to run the who thing.

My blog is active again!

I'm back and this time I'm preparing to run the 12 hour Relay for Life event at Saginaw Valley State University on April 8th to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  I'll make more updates to the blog as I gear up fundraising efforts.  However, the first step is that I need a team name.  Any ideas?  Please post them in the comments section!

are you doing this as a solo event?

That's my plan. Maybe it will help me get prepared for Western States too. ;)

I thought that your URL for the fundraising page was too long for posting on Facebook, etc, so I created a tinyURL for you:

http://tinyurl.com/teamsinglestep

this redirects to your fundraising site. Good luck on your run!
